2007 Careers Guide
All accomplishment comes from daring to begin...
For the first time ever the Engineering Faculty at Monash University has a Careers Guide! This Guide has been compiled to help all engineering students at Monash as they work towards a successful and fulfilling career. Within these pages you will find information about the different disciplines of engineering offered at Monash, professional recognition as an engineer and helpful advice about the actual employment process.
Also included is information about some of Australia’s leading engineering firms that offer vacation or graduate positions. You will find key information about organisation structure, contact details and the actual recruitment process, to give you a head start over other students. As you peruse the articles you will be able to garner an understanding of the culture, structure and opportunities available with the companies represented.
Remember that the graduate market is highly competitive and it is never too early to start planning to ensure you find your dream job. University is not just about a theoretical text-book education but about life-learning and equipping yourself with a diverse range of practical skills and experiences to take into the workforce.
Armed with the advice contained in this Guide we challenge you to you to dare to accomplish...what you achieve is up to you.
